This product eliminates the need to have to rip out or frame around existing surfaces. You can go right over brick, tile, wood or dry wall and it can be applied up to 5 inches thick.

These pictures below show how we updated a fireplace in a basement. We did not need to do any prep work other than ensure that the surface was clean. We applied the product right over the drywall and over the glass block. The thickness of the product is 1 inch and it is a mountain dry stack look.
